Non-Emergengy Success
In this episode, we explore a unique perspective on productivity, particularly for individuals with ADHD. While many people rely on a sense of urgency or crisis to fuel their productivity, those with ADHD often experience a different response. Due to structural and chemical differences in the brain, individuals with ADHD may find that a crisis actually calms them down, allowing for improved focus and problem-solving. However, this episode challenges the notion that crisis is necessary for productivity. We discuss the importance of learning to tolerate negative feelings, such as boredom or understimulation, and reprogramming our approach to productivity. By recognizing that not everything needs to be "on fire" to be worthy of our time and attention, individuals with ADHD can cultivate a more sustainable and fulfilling approach to productivity.
